In a discussion with George Noory, Linda Schurman talked about the increasing frequency of large earthquakes.

George Noory: "Are you expecting a big one?"

Linda Schurman: "I really am. As I said, I'm expecting a significant one on the west coast of the United States, going all the way down into-- uh, from California into Mexico. In, uh, 2012. Precisely between May-June area of 2012. And I think that's one of major, major significance."

George Noory: "Is there any tie-in to the 2012 Mayan Calendar date, or was that just coincidental, which I don't believe in?"

Linda Schurman: "Yes, you know, I'm not-- um, uh-- a big, uh-- I think the Mayan Calendar is simply the end of a 50, almost 5,200 year cycle that the Mayans believed in, where their legends and their myths tell us that the old ways end and the new things begin. And I think we're, all of us, in a sense attuned, because, to this concept-- it's not just the Mayans, it's the Hindus, it's all the major cycles. The 26,000 year cycle, uh, the 2,100 year cycle of the presession of the equinox ages, and then the Mayan Calendar. But, just-- I like to get down to basics, which are what are these planets doing, what signs are they in, and what relationships are they making with one another? And my feeling is that our civilization, as we have known it, is ending, and a new human presence, a new human civilization is coming about. And when that happens, the economies fail and shake up. The Earth shakes up. The climate shakes up. Everything shakes up."
