Psychics, astrologers, remote viewers, and their 2012 PREDICTIONS
People have been making predictions
for years. These predictions have ranged from the
catastrophic events, such as the destruction of the planet Earth, to
transformative events, such as human beings taking the next step in spiritual evolution. And these
have come to people in a myriad of ways. Some have seen what is to
come in psychic visions. Others have been told of what will come to
pass, by spirit guides or by those on the other side. There are still
others that claim nothing will happen in 2012, and that people have always
thought the world would be coming to an end during their lifetime.
Regardless of how these various psychics, remote viewers, and intuitives
have come to their beliefs on what will happen in 2012, the idea that 2012
will be a time of change-- a paradigm shift, a step forward in
evolution, a new beginning for mankind-- or an ending-- is linked directly
to the Mayans and the
Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, commonly referred to as the Mayan Calendar.
There are many who believe that the Mayans had some knowledge of the future,
and that the Mayan Calendar ending on December 21, 2012
foretells the coming
of some great event. Did the Mayans have some since lost knowledge of
future events? And, more importantly, is the end coming? Or a
One noticeable trend that has been occurring with 2012 predictions
statements in general about 2012, is a lessening of predictions stating that
there will be cataclysmic events, that the world will end, that human beings
will cease to exist. Early on, these types of predictions were the
main kind one would hear, in regards to 2012. It was said that planet Nibiru would collide with the Earth, or pass so close as to cause
unsurvivable destruction. It was foretold that the Earth's magnetic
poles would reverse, a "polar shift", that would cause the planet to rapidly
flip upside-down, or at the very least cause the Earth to lose it's magnetic
field that protects us the deadly rays that our sun bombards us with daily.
That, somehow, the apocalypse would come, and man's time here on Earth would
come to an end.
As we get closer to 2012, however, predictions for 2012 seem to be changing.
We hear doomsday predictions much less often now. We now much more
often hear predictions of man's advancement. There are predictions of
a galactic alignment, which will usher in a "new age of man". It is
predicted that there will be a spiritual evolution, that man will become
enlightened. Some have expressed belief that a solar event of
some sort will occur, which will have profound positive effects on mankind.
Of course, skeptics say that the reason end-of-the-world predictions are
becoming less and less is because on December 22, 2012--when December 21,
has come and gone-- the Earth will still be here, in exactly the same
state it was the day before, and those who predicted the end-of-the-world
will be left with no credibility what-so-ever.
Regardless of a person's views on it, 2012 is an area of interest for many
people. 2012 is a subject often discussed on the radio show
, where a number of different views can be heard. There is a
movie coming out in November of 2009, called 2012
, which has the main
characters fighting for their lives when a global cataclysm takes place in
2012. Those interested in 2012 in general, and 2012 predictions

In The Astrology of 2012 and Beyond, Garrison explores the changing sky,
starting with the movement of Pluto into Capricorn, a region it hasn’t
inhabited since 1733. She draws on traditional astrology and her
understanding of the Hopi prophecies and their relationship to the Mayan

kundalini cycle, to offer practical advice and information that will
help us evolve through the next four years, including what to expect
